    Sorry for the duplicate response above. Per the sleepy baby, I found this advice from kelly mom...maybe this is along the lines of what the dr is recommending by the time limits?...

    She can be sleepy at the breast for sure, especially after the first few minutes. But she is still suckling, although not as actively of course. Any suggestions? Thanks

    Update, the pediatrician said to nurse her 10 minutes per breast. This sounds impossible!
    Has anyone heard of this, as far as making sure baby does not suck too long and thus burn more calories?
