Re: Diaper Output in an 8 month old?

No. Actually, this is my schedule on a typical work day (I do feed on demand, though):

0500 breastfeed (waking baby to do so)
    0800 pump at work
    1100 pump at work
    1400 pump at work
    1600...

Re: Using Fenugreek and still Waiting...

Well... I'm still not quite sure what to do. I've read so much on increasing milk supply, how much my baby should be getting, wet diapers, etc, but I'm still sort of clueless... Sorry. :(

    Over...

Re: YAY! I still have milk!

A lot of us have gone through sore and cracked nipples. They suck (heh), but you're doing the right thing with the lansinoh. However, I would also definitely recommend that, if you haven't seen a...

Re: Diaper Output in an 8 month old?

Hmm.. more about why I think my supply is low... Well, I'm only getting 11 ounces during the three pumping sessions these days, vice the 16 ounces I used to get. My son's heavy diapers have...

Re: Using Fenugreek and still Waiting...

Baby is 8.5 months old. I wake up and feed him at 0500, put him down at 0530, leave at 0600. I then pump at 0800, 1100, and 1400. I usually get home at around 1600. If he's awake, I'll nurse him...

    Using Fenugreek and still Waiting...

Hello. I've been using fenugreek for close to two weeks now. I started out with taking 2 x 610mg pills three times a day, and now I'm up to 4 x 610mg three times a day. I have noticed a small...

Re: My 5 mo old is rejecting the breast!

I remember when my son was around that age. I had gone back to work, and he was getting EBM from Daddy. When I came home, it was a struggle to get him to have the patience to breastfeed - because I...

Diaper Output in an 8 month old?

    Hello-

Hubby and I have been wondering - what's good diaper output for an 8 (and a half) month old? He weighs about 20-21 pounds. Starting "normal" food has been slow with him, so he really gets...

Re: I feel like I'm going crazy

I second what folks have said about over active letdown (OALD). I had OALD for many months before things normalized. For quite a few weeks my son was fine with it, but then, like your daughter,...

    Re: tired of the struggle

Tired of the struggle... sounds so familiar. My son is approaching seven months and, believe me, it hasn't been easy! Especially since he got his first two teeth at four months and has gotten 3-6...

Re: 6 months, losing interest :(

I think that I'm going through something similiar, with the exception that my 5.5 month old will sleep 7-8 hours after finally going to sleep. I had forceful letdown, and I know what those battles...

    Traveling Overseas for Work

    Hello!

My son turned 5 months old today. I'm going to have to travel to Asia without him soon, and I could use the low-down on how to deal with nursing and pumping while there. I estimate that I...

4 mo trying out his teeth!

    Hello!

My 20 week old son got his teeth the day after his four month birthday. When he bites me while nursing, is that a sign that he's no longer interested in nursing? He'll also blow...

    Re: Cry and push off?

I had serious issues with OALD myself. Another way you could tell that it is OALD is if your wife sprays milk when your daughter disengages. I had to keep a spare cloth diaper handy for a couple of...
  16. Re: teething, cold, ear infection -bad advice

Thank you, all, for your suggestions!

I've tried a semi upright/football hold. He doesn't seem to mind the pain in that position, but then he starts looking at me and talking to me - which...
  17. teething, cold, ear infection -bad advice

    Hello!

This is mostly a rant and a cry out for support - I already know that my stand-in doc's off his rocker with the advice that he gave us.

My four month old with two brand new teeth has...

Re: How to you clean parts while at work?

My work has a nursing mothers' room, so there's a sink and bottle brushes and dish soap there for my use. I've been washing my shields with hot soapy water after each pumping, drying them with a...

Re: Does he really want me to stand?

Well, I tried sitting up straighter. And I just can't figure out how to get my long-torso'd baby in a good position for nursing in a sling. BUT I think that my 4 month old has been suffering...

Does he really want me to stand?

    Hello!

We have just moved to Hawaii from Maryland and I'm working fulltime, so there have been a lot of big changes for my 4mo, my spouse, and I. He's always been the kind who protests quite...

    Re: 8-12 feedings a day?

    8-12 feedings a day?

When is it no longer necessary to get 8-12 feedings per day? I'm asking this because my 10 week old son sometimes doesn't quite make it to 8 (although I don't keep rigid check), though he has been...

Re: need tips & encouragement for new mommy...

I second everything said as well! I've had all of these problems, and still have some of them as well (at ten weeks). One, yes, it's very possible to get enough milk in ten minutes - my ten week...
