  1. Re: Baby woke up as I finished pumping

Thanks, I let him nurse for a long time but he got frustrated and was pawing angrily at my breast so I gave him a small 1.5oz top up. I can see reading your posts that I should have just woken him!!...

    Re: tingling legs while nursing???

I get this too, I thought it was just me! I thought it was just all the nerve endings in the nipple? Like when someone touches your neck and sometimes it sends shivers down your spine?
  3. Baby woke up as I finished pumping

My 7 week old has had a lot of problems transferring milk and gaining weight, so I'm on domperidone to up my supply and I'm pumping to up my supply and also top him up as well as breastfeeding. He...

Re: Dropped to 25th percentile :(

What a day! Well the lactation consultant said he's not actively feeding and swallowing for very long (we knew that) but there are a number of reasons why this might be. One, he has a slight tongue...

Re: Dropped to 25th percentile :(

Is it possible that I could pump 4oz a day but still not make enough for him? I do pump from the side he's fed from less, so is that cheating?

Re: Dropped to 25th percentile :(

Yeah he always takes that 3 or 4 oz from a bottle in the evening, and still nurses after for at least 30 minutes, then he'll sleep for around 4 hours and then feed again.

Yeah that's what the HV said, she says it proves it isn't a supply issue. :/

Re: Dropped to 25th percentile :(

I'm so upset. Micah was weighed again after dropping percentiles last week.. and he's only gained 2oz in 7 days. He's now on the 9th percentile, after starting out on the 50th. :'(

    They said the...

Re: Dropped to 25th percentile :(

Oh and he's had less dirty nappies the last few days since I had this advice. :( I thought that it was a normal progression as he gets older, and he's still had lots of wet nappies, but now I'm...

Re: Dropped to 25th percentile :(

Oh! See I've been told that because of the weight concern I should always put him back on the same breast if he has a break, so that he gets the creamier milk at the back.:confused:

The bottles are so he doesn't refuse them when I go back to work part time in a few months, I was told to introduce them before 6 weeks to reduce the chances of him refusing bottles. Also it's nice...
