Re: do you shake your milk?

I don't ever shake my milk. I just put the bottle under warm water until all the stuff on the sides slide down to the liquid. Then I swirl the bottle until it's all mixed up.

Re: the take on 5 months of pumping milk~!

How do you pump for 5 months and not have to freeze any milk? Are you nursing too? I EP and I was freezing milk after about a month because I was making so much! :P

I agree with PP about sharing...

    Re: Medela Freestyle Breastpump?

How did you get to be a tester? :)

I'm an EP and would love to have that new freestyle pump, but I really can't justify it since I've been using my PISA for a year now and it still functions...

    Re: 1 year old feedings?

Yep, a sippy cup is a cup with a lid and spout. I originally started with the non-spill ones and he seemed to get really frustrated with sucking and sucking to get the milk out. So, I switched to the...

    1 year old feedings?

Can you share your 1 year old's feeding schedule and what he/she eats, including how much BM?

My son just turned 1 and it seems like he eats a lot of solids, but not enough BM. I EP and he only...
  6. Re: If you EP - how often do you change out membranes?

I've been EP for a year now and have changed my membranes 3 times. For a long time I was sterilizing my stuff once a week (when I was on Mat Leave for 6 months) and after every use when I was at work...

    Re: Medela PISA leaking air?

I kind of have the same problem with my PISA, but it hasn't affected my supply. The air comes out of the little yellow rubber circle that is in between where the tubes go (not the part that covers...

    Re: Bottles that fit PISA

If you are concerned about BPA, and you want bottles bigger than the Medela ones that fit the PISA, you can use the Gerber ones (clear view).

Re: How many times/how long to increase supply?

I have been exclusively pumping for a year now. :) When my son was 11 months, I didn't make enough milk to feed him so I used my frozen stash. He was drinking 23 oz per day and I was only making...

    Re: Switching bottles

Sorry, I don't have any advice about how to switch your son over to a different bottle. My son started off with Dr. Brown bottles. When all the BPA news came out, I switched him to Born Free bottles...

Pumping after LO is 1 yrs old...

I posted this in the Pumping section, but didn't get any responses, so I thought this may be a better place to post.

I've been exclusively pumping since my son was about 4 days old (it's been over...
  12. Any Exclusive Pumpers continue after baby 1 yr?

I've been exclusively pumping since my son was about 4 days old (it's been over 9 months!) My goal was to continue pumping until my son was 1 years old and I've been counting down the days left that...
  13. Re: Yikes! You can't mix Frozen BM with Fresh BM??!

When I thaw my frozen stash, I always use it within 24 hrs....even if I mix it with fresh milk. I just wanted to make sure it was okay to mix the two since I read that you shouldn't mix fresh with...
  14. Yikes! You can't mix Frozen BM with Fresh BM??!

I read in several different places that you can't mix frozen BM with fresh BM. Why is that? I thaw a frozen bag of BM late at night. If I don't make enough milk in the morning for 2 bottles, I add...

    Low Supply - Please help!!

I've been pumping exclusively for about 8 months now and I recently started having supply issues. I've been back at work for three months and pump 3 times a day: 6.30am, 1.30pm, and 9.30pm. I got...
  17. Exclusive Pumpers: What's your pumping schedule?

I've been exclusively pumping since my son was a few days old (nursing didn't work for me). I'm wondering if I should start pumping less once I start my son on solids. (He's 5 months now and I plan...
  18. Is excess lipase in frozen BM bad for baby?

Re: What does frozen BM smell & taste like?

The milk was originally stored in a side-by-side freezer, in the back. Then I transfered it to a deep freezer. It's only been 3 months since I've stored it. When I freeze it, I store it in Lansinoh...

Re: Can't seem to get the hang of pumping...
