Re: 4 mo old doesn't seem interested

:hello It is suggested to wait on solids (or any other liquid other than bm) until 6 months of age. I would wait until then and try again. Maybe look into the pumping board here for some suggestions...

Re: Pumping for Baby Over 1 YO

DD is not quite a year (she will be in 2 weeks:yikes), but I pump 4 times a day still since she still only takes a very minimal amount of solids. I will obviously be pumping for at least a while...

    Re: asking advice for sister-in-law

Congrats on the new nephew. Bringing baby home from the hospital is both joyful and stressful! I found that just keeping baby at the breast for much of the day helped her get the idea that food comes...

    Re: Wonky boobs!

I am pretty sure that having a size difference is normal. You are definitely not alone!
  8. Re: Anyone have diminishing supply after MANY months of pumping at work?

I have been pumping at work for 9 mths and at around 6-7 mths my supply dipped (right after af returned) and I had to go back to renting a hospital grade pump. Now I have no issue getting enough.

    Re: Nipple pulling/tugging

If baby seems to be done eating you could try to take him off when he begins to tug. Then if he still acts hungry he can try again.

Re: what kind of pasta for 8 month old?

If you are trying to avoid wheat there is also brown rice pasta. This has not egg in it either.

Re: Apparently, I'm starving my son.......

I would think that if his diaper output is ok and he is nursing often enough the slowed weight gain could be attributed to his new found level of activity. If his weight gain is still a concern maybe...

Re: Starting Solids in a 3 month old

Do you cosleep? This may REALLY help you with the sleep deprivation and insomnia. You can feed him when he wants and barely wake up either if you. Cosleeping has kept me sane with a dd that still...

    Re: I’m curious..

What type of pump are you using? I went back to my rented hospital grade pump because I thought I was having a supply issue and now I am getting more than enough. Perhaps you could try a more...

I did not have twins, but dd was in the hospital for almost a month after birth due to prematurity. I rented a hospital grade pump because they are suggested if you are trying to build and maintain...

Re: sorry if im repeating myself..

Does it help at all if you pump and then try to feed her. I know dd would break suction on her own and have a shallow latch when I was full and had a fast/forceful letdown when she was smaller. If I...

    Re: Really Frustrated New Mom

No real advice here, but just wanted to say that it will get better. You are doing the best thing for your baby and you will be rewarded with a wonderful nursing relationship soon!
  25. Re: Do you wean after 1 year or by 1 year?

If you do plan on weaning at 1 year, I believe the childs main source of nutrition is supposed to be breastmilk (or formula) for the whole first year. I think this means that it would be best to...
