    Crying over spilled milk

I just wasted about 5 oz. of EBM by trying to pour it into a Playtex Drop-In before I put the liner in. Where is my head? It was painful to have to mop it up with paper towels and throw it in the...

Re: dishwasher good enough for washing pump?

I throw mine in the dishwasher just to get them good and clean. I only sterilize daily when I have yeast (which feels like all the time for me). Then I use the microwave bags by Medela.

    Adjusting Pumping Schedule

    Hi Everyone,

I'm nearly exclusively pumping for my 4 month old twin girls. I do put them to breast once a day, but for a variety of reasons, they get almost all EBM. They eat every 2.5-3 hours...

    Re: Medela Freestyle Breastpump?

I get the same amount from the Freestyle that I get from the Symphony.

    Re: playtex drop in users...

Same here. I actually had more problems when I tried to get rid of the air. DD had problems getting the milk at the end of the bottle out because the nipple would start to sink into the bottle...

    Re: Medela Freestyle Breastpump?

Why doesn't the LC think it will work for exclusive pumping? The LC I talked to said the Medela rep told her that it is just a heavy-duty as the PISA. Lots of people use that one to EP.

    I still...

    Re: symphony vs pisa

I can't really speak about the PISA since I've never used one, but I am renting a Symphony and also have a Medela Freestyle ($285 from addalittlelove.com). I get the same volume from both, but my...

    who has pumped the longest?

I'm curious. Who here has exclusively pumped the longest? I know it's not me, but I feel like I've been doing this forever. 3 months, 1 week, 3 days and counting!

    increase pumping time, increase supply?

I've always pumped for 15 minutes after each feeding (I'm giving all EBM at this point) and was freezing a lot besides what the girls were eating. Now the girls seem to be eating more and I don't...

    Re: Medela Freestyle Breastpump?

After my initial mishaps with the pump, it really is working well for me. I realized that I am using a bigger flange for my Symphony, so I was getting some discomfort when using the one that came...

    head shaking

One of my girls does this funny head shaking thing before she latches on. She thrashes her head back and forth like she's frantically trying to find the nipple even though it's already in her mouth,...

    Re: Medela Freestyle Breastpump?

Maybe she charges shipping for outside the continental U.S. It's still a good price though.

The pump is noisier than the Symphony, but I don't think it's bad.

I've had sporadic success with it....

    Re: Medela Freestyle Breastpump?

I just got my new pump and used it for the first time. It took a bit to get the hands-free stuff set up, but I think I'll get faster at that. I pumped the same amount in the same time that I do with...

    Re: Medela Freestyle Breastpump?

I ordered mine on Monday from addalittlelove.com. I EP for my twin girls right now, so I hope it will keep up. I'm not giving up my Symphony just yet though. I'll post back a couple days after it...

    Am I feeding them enough?

Right now I'm exclusively pumping for my twin girls. Recently I've been told I am over feeding them. They were taking 3-4 ounces every three hours or so with a bit longer stretch at night. The LC and...
