    Re: Iron sources

Oh, I wasn't going to give too much molasses, I was just wondering what to do with it.

Thanks for the list, I bookmarked it. Good to have reference pages that are easy to find.

    Iron sources

DD was born at 36w6d, so not full-term. The cord was cut right away, since it was wrapped around her neck, so she didn't get all the cord blood. I'm doing BLS, so she's not getting iron-fortified...
  3. Re: How do you maintain supply as baby gets older?

My DD started sleeping through the night on her own at 13 weeks. One morning I woke up at 5, ready to feed her, and she slept on and on...9 hours straight, when the longest stretch I'd got was 5...

    Re: Bedtime woes...

I'm also in awe of those people whose babies go to bed at 7:30. DD is like yours, OP, she takes her sweet time being ready for bed. It's like we're still cluster feeding at 6 months...it's spaced out...

    Re: Starting BLS

Aw, I forgot about the soy sauce...I don't do the cooking, my hubby does. Ok, we'll have to modify the stuff we use for sauces...I have a friend who's a chef who is doing BLS with her 3rd LO, so I'll...

    Re: Starting BLS

Cool. We usually make curries or stir-fries or stuff all mixed, so I'd have to either make her something separate or start having meals of single food dishes...boring!

    Starting BLS

DD just turned 6 months the other day. Gave her some banana this evening...she sucked it, gummed some, and I think she swallowed a little bit. Made quite the face at one point, but seemed interested....
  8. Re: Anyone else have "mommy hand" ?

I started having pins and needles in my thumb and first two fingers, and self-diagnosed either carpal tunnel or mommy thumb. I'm trying very hard not to bend my wrist when I carry her or breastfeed....
  9. Re: Some Encouragement for those with Distractible Nurslings

Thank goodness! Mine likes to watch the cat or Daddy. Sometimes she won't even tolerate noise.

Re: Need some help northern mamas

I live in Canada, and there's no way I am going to nurse outside this winter. I don't know how cold it gets in Minnesota, but up here it can get to -40 celsius with windchill. I have a moby, but no...
  11. Re: Lack of eye contact while breastfeeding a 9 month old

My DD is 6 months, and when she does make eye-contact, she pops off to smile or just stare. When she's intent on nursing, she stares at my boob all serious-face. When she's tired, she closes her eyes...

    We did it!

DD is 6 months today! We made it 6 months EBF! It's been frustrating and wonderful at the same time. :D

For all you mamas having a hard time getting there, hugs and good juju for you. :hug
  15. Re: Crazy breastfeeding behavior

I kind of figured it was "normal" behavior, but it's just so exhausting. She often so disgruntled all day. It'll start after a big spit-up in the morning, and then she's crankypants for the rest of...
  16. Crazy breastfeeding behavior

Hi all, I'm new to the forum. I have an 11 week old girl who has been making breastfeeding...interesting. We had a great start, she's gained weight well, is now just over 11 pounds from birth weight...
