Thank you for replying! Not harsh at all, just honest! I appreciate it!!

She also had a 3 year old in one today, which I use to babysit that kid's older sisters years ago.. I'm not sure if he's...

    Daycare "Issue"

Sorry, I'm not sure where to post this..

My daughter's daycare is a mom who is just starting out and only watches 2 other kids besides DD and her own kids. She has taken my daughter with her on a...
  5. Re: In-laws (not sure where this would f

I know what you are going through and I agree with PP. When DD was born, and even before with ultrasound pictures, my MIL did the same thing. She looked just like my DH and she made sure I knew it!...
  6. Re: How to establish rules about nursing

My daughter (23 months) does the same thing. If she wants to nurse, she won't eat, end of story! I make her sit at the table while I eat, hoping she will at least eat a few bites. After I finish I...

    Re: Losing patience...

I just have to say that is so funny, my daughter calls it a "booba" also.. I haven't seen anyone else say that! :)

We taught my daughter to "pet" when you tell her to be nice, so if she is...

Re: Wisdom teeth removal and a nursling

Maybe they do it differently in different areas.. I saw a dental surgeon too and mine were also ingrown and growing sideways. You should have the option of just getting gas and a local. It's quicker,...

Re: Wisdom teeth removal and a nursling

Do you HAVE to be put under? I just got mine out less than 2 months ago and was given gas instead. I wasn't even offered the choice of being put under. I'm not sure how they decide for each person...

Re: Anyone ever used pumpin' pal?

I ordered the hands free strap for me and a friend and was sent the angled flanges instead. The customer service was very nice and they sent the right product right away, so I would suggest...
  12. Re: Did you encounter bottle preference once returning to work?

:ita Agreed! That's what worked for us!

This is how we did the sidecar crib, but as you can see, she never slept in it! :) At the same time we put a twin mattress in her bedroom with an extra long bed rail on it and it worked much...
  14. Re: 2 Questions 1. Aunt Flow 2. babybed Sidecar

    1. Everyone is different with the return of AF. Some people get it right away and others don't for a long time. I didn't get mine back until DD was 18 months, so it just kinda depends on your body!...
  15. Grateful to still be nursing my 21 month old!

Some stomach bug is going around, so DD caught it and had diarrhea for a week. She wouldn't eat or drink much of anything, but of course she would nurse! :D

DD's BFF ended up getting sick and...

    Re: prenatals??

I think I only took them for a month or so after DD was born. I'm not sure the necessity for them, but we seemed to do okay without!

    Re: Increase in nursing

My DD is 20 months and for the most part if we are home she's nursing! We spend a lot of time away from home to get her mind off of it! I don't feel right telling her no unless we have company...
  18. Re: "He has 8 teeth, isn't he biting you, mom?" DS Ped

I agree.. I get tired of the "I would have stopped when she got teeth" Why do people assume that they bite?
  19. Re: "He has 8 teeth, isn't he biting you, mom?" DS Ped

:yikes Wow!! Ignorant people make me want to pull my hair out, especially ignorant doctors! Way to go mama on doing what's best for you and baby!
  20. Re: Need my almost 4yr old to stop nursing!

I always said when DD is 3 or 4 I'll be able to reason with her so she'll wean, but I'm starting to see from people's posts and comments that it isn't going to be that easy! I agree that a weaning...
  21. Re: How will I continue to BF after 1 year?

Nuby sippies are wonderful!! We had the most success with the munchkin mighty grip sippers at first. DD wouldn't take anything but those until she was 15 months, now she will drink out of only nuby...

:lol They know better I guess!

I've been feeling the same way lately. I don't like the idea of weaning yet, but some days it just gets old! I get tired of not being able to do anything at home...
