Re: Three and half week old won't stop nursing

I just want to say that your situation sounds extremely tough and I totally understand why you would feel the way you do. I'm just glad you have this forum to vent to because not everyone would...
  2. Re: the importance of sucking?..and other questions

    Alissa,
Have you considered continuing to nurse your dd just a little bit?
You could start to introduce more solid foods so that her calories are being met that way and she would need to nurse...

    Re: Baby With A Cold

I wouldn't give Vit. C to a 5 month old. Your breastmilk provides all that he needs for nutrition and to fight off illness.
Keep his head propped up while sleeping. I've also heard of others who...

    Re: Getting enough nutrients.

It really isn't even necessary that your baby be on solids at all because your breastmilk provides all your his needs. If you choose to feed some solids right now, keep it very minimal because you...

    Re: Confused

Absolutely not, do not push solids. The steroids probably made him ravenously hungry and since your supply couldn't keep up, the cereal helped and that's fine. But when he's off the steroids and is...

    Re: bf'ing and peanut butter

I agree wholeheardetly with you Jennifer.
Our diet is very important when nursing. If we don't put the "good stuff" in, good stuff can't come out. If we put the wrong stuff in (even if it's not...
  9. Re: Is it common for babies to be so unpredictable?

    Yep, welcome to parenthood!:p
My 13 year old is still unpredictable but in different ways so I would say there is always unpredictability with kids!

But regarding naps and such, I...

Re: When is it okay to Start Table Food?

Every child is different of course but my dd eats table food and she is 9 months. She doesn't eat a lot, but when we eat, we'll put tiny pieces of soft food (or mash it) on her tray and she LOVES...

Re: The stuff that gets in breastmilk

I don't believe for one moment that we can eat whatever we want and it not affect the quality of our breastmilk. I don't agree with LLL on this matter, if that is what they are saying (and it would...

    Re: Criticized for night feeding

I love the "cycles" response too! That's great!!!

My almost 9 month old dd still nurses through the night and I have a friend that asks often. She does not "poo poo" it, but I'm sure inside she...

My dd loves sourdough spelt bread. I purchase it from an organic farm and it's home produced. Spelt is a whole grain in the wheat family. Prior to baking with it, the spelt is soaked so it...

  21. Re: Will these nipple changes prevent breastfeeding?

This is normal so yes, you will be able to breastfeed just fine. Make sure baby has a proper latch to avoid painful nipples. :)

    Re: No poop!

I agree to cut back on the cereal. Seems a bit much and could constipate her. Give baby pureed fruit that will help her go like prunes or pears. Works like a charm with my dd. :)
