  1. Re: Help - He's 1 year and latching on with his teeth! Ouch!

Is it happening when he nurses to sleep or all the time? My little one would start to clamp down as she got sleepy. Did he just get his top teeth recently? If so, it gets better with time.

Re: Pressure to wean at one year

I would write a letter mentioning the WHO recommendation to breastfeed until at least 2, and include other information on the continuing benefits of breastfeeding. I wouldn't necessarily switch...

Poll: Re: Poll: After a year

I did minimal amounts of cow's milk in cereal prior to a year because I was never successful with the pump, but she's been refusing cereal so only rarely does she have cow's milk. She's still...

Re: ok so Im not there yet but the night

Does she take a pacifier? I've found that sometimes giving my little one the pacifier will help her go back to sleep if she doesn't need to eat. Abigail just turned a year and she has never slept...
  6. Re: going on vacation, do I need to bring pump...

I would bring the pump and use it but don't worry at all about the amount you are pumping, just think of it as continuing to provide stimulation to keep up your supply.

    Re: Fluid requirements?

She nurses every 2-3 hours during the day and twice at night. She has a strong smelling diaper in the morning, but it is a heavy wet diaper. Her other diapers don't smell, but are not as heavy. ...

    Fluid requirements?

My daughter just turned one and is eating some solids regularly but will not take water from a sippy cup. We live in a dry climate and I'm always thirsty (even before I was breastfeeding) so I worry...

Re: What do you call them? (for LO?)

I say milky, because I heard too many stories of toddlers yelling for booby in public. :)
  11. Re: Does Extended BF cause feeding problems?

    Great link, thank you!

My little one just hit the 12 month mark, and while she eats solids, the majority of her intake is still breast milk.

Re: 12 month old not interested in solids

My daughter just turned one and she is not a big solids eater, either. I am still nursing her every 2-3 hours during the day and 2-3 times at night. At her 9 month appt. she was at the 40th...

    Re: Weaning Through The Night

I tried night weaning my daughter at 6 months and it didn't work. She really needed the night time feeds and I just ended up feeling guilty for depriving her for a week. If she's not sleeping...

Re: So we're here, now what?

Congratulations on making it a year.:clap We recently hit the year mark also. I think the mixed feelings are normal. Breast milk is still best for as long as they want it, and try not to worry...

    Re: weight check and worried

When my LO dropped off the chart at 9 months, the pedi was concerned, but she was still on the WHO charts. I agree that as long as your child is still gaining weight and not losing, s/he is fine.

Re: Aahh help!! Fussy 4 month old!

My four month old has been very fussy the last week also. I'm pretty sure it's a growth spurt but a long, not very well defined, growth spurt. She just doesn't seem to be happy at all. Eating more...
