    Re: Irregular breathing

My Vincent does that too! Hehe, Rusaalka- our little ones seem to keep having the same habits. It startles me sometimes... but he also smiles and laughs in his sleep, which I think is the most...

    Re: She's constantly straining!

You're being brave- it's best to ask if you are not sure:) Nothing to be ashamed of... but I am glad that your little girl is healthy and normal!

    Re: She's constantly straining!

It sounds like she is like my baby... but he is obviously gassy. Many audible toots during the day! Is your baby "tooting" more than normal? About this time is when our little ones' digestive...

    Re: Feeling so guilty

Be careful about the whole super-comforting thing too... you'll find that little one is very smart and that if she gets coddled every time she falls on her tush, she'll be doing it a lot more:) ...

    Re: Feeling so guilty

Hehe... bumps and accidents happen. Your little babe is more resilient than she seems! I can assure you that we have all had the "oh crap" moments when our little ones' heads go swinging into an...

... there were responses. I'm not sure what's going on.
  7. Re: Too sleepy! Only nurses for 5-10 minutes. Help!

See... I have probably a B right now... maybe B-and-a-half;) It just takes a lot more effort getting us both into a comfortable position since it has to be so much more elevated.

    At this...

    Re: bump on nipple

That sounds like a blister to me, hon... it's caused by the baby's tongue or gums rubbing against your nipple. I don't know how you'd get rid of it, except by maybe altering the way your baby...
  9. Re: Too sleepy! Only nurses for 5-10 minutes. Help!

I'm almost ashamed to say it, but I've been a coward... Haven't tried again today. As I've said before, I'm not a brave person, and seeing my baby's mouth red with my blood from my damaged nipples...
  10. Re: Too sleepy! Only nurses for 5-10 minutes. Help!

Things are going okay, I guess. I tried him in a football hold on my left breast when he got too hungry to make him wait for the pump. He did well for about five to ten minutes, then he got angry...

Re: Should I go to the dr???

I've had mastitis twice now, in the same breast, and though it is painful and unpleasant for mommy, it doesn't affect the baby. I think that the hardest part for me was that you have to keep the...

    Re: When do I start?

Congratulations in advance, and good luck! May your labor be swift and your feeding be smooth. Let me tell you... that hormonal high after delivery will make it a snap to get your little one nicely...

    Re: How Many Wet Diapers?

Wow... six to seven hours? I think that if I went that long without pumping, my poor breasts would be bursting at the seams:) And I don't even produce that much... My son's three to four hour...
  15. Re: Too sleepy! Only nurses for 5-10 minutes. Help!

Hi there- And sure- I don't mind clarifying. I'm very good at being vague!

Yes, I did mean just the little bit of nipple. When he comes away from the breast, it's just a little almost...

Re: Long, very frequent feeds - help!

Yeah.. it sounds to me like it's more "comfort sucking" than anything:) Just a baby's way of being close to mommy. Do try the snuggling and such- it might just be what your little one needs. My...

    Re: Seems hopeless...

Did they look at his tongue? I know I sound like a broken record around here, but my own son had problems with his latch because he had tongue-tie... a situation where that little piece of skin that...

    Re: Tongue- tied??

You know... I didn't feel that way before, but it might have been masked by the pain :-/ He would end up only getting the end of my nipple, and I would end up with lines of scabs, which were...

    Re: Tongue- tied??

I was having pain also, but it was due to the way that he was latching on- even if his lips looked fine, it was the way that his tongue was working inside his mouth. It has to be a certain way for...

    Re: Tongue- tied??

Yeah- my son was tongue-tied also. It gave us all kinds of problems with latching on. We just got it fixed a few days ago, and I can already tell a difference. The procedure is short and simple,...
  21. Re: Too sleepy! Only nurses for 5-10 minutes. Help!

I would put him back to the breast whenever he wakes up... but after he begins nursing (the first time), my breasts begin hurting since they are so engorged or something- I just feel the urgent need...

  23. Re: Too sleepy! Only nurses for 5-10 minutes. Help!

You are fortunate that she gets enough with only the five minutes:) My name is Ariel. My son, Vincent, does the same but wakes up hungry and not happy about it! Our situation is a little...
