Re: Day 6 and milk hasn't came in

What is with these pediatricians!? What horrible advice. Ick!

I was one of those mammas who was expecting my breasts to feel engorged when my milk came in and I never did! I was worried on...
  3. Re: when the signs are in the knees, she says

Whenever my opinionated sister gives me parenting advice, instead of saying anything back about what she said I give her advice back. Goes something like this:

"Geez, you should wean him. He is...
  4. Re: Need advice on spacing out feedings, co-sleeping.

    Re: Ouch!!

Thanks again, that gives me hope! He is teething right now. He cut his third (first upper) a few weeks ago and the fourth is right behind it, so that makes a lot of sense.

    Re: Ouch!!

Thanks. I have been suspecting a bleb, but I can't see it. I have been using warm moist compresses and nursing lots with different positions, but I will try some of the other things you mentioned...

    Ouch!!

Is it common to have nipple pain with a blocked duct? Mine hurts big time. The breast tissue feels bruised, but the nipple feels like he is shearing it off (no visible damage).

Yes, we use lots of lube. Doesn't matter. Lube on a pinky finger will burn...wine might help though! lol

    Re: hormones...

I very much doubt I have an infection (no signs anyway). Grrr...I suppose I will call my OB and see if she can see me. The estrogen cream sounds like a pain, but if there is a chance of it helping...

    Re: hormones...

THanks ladies. I am not stressed thinking of TTC, it is just that my cycles were so wonky before and I worry since it took us so long. We want our kids semi close (maybe 2-3 years apart), so when...

  12. Re: Can't manage a let-down when pumping

Have you tried nursing your LO on one side and pumping the other? That is how I started pumping, then I graduated to pictures and video.

    Re: Help! Pain in breasts...

What did the doc think? I wondered about thrush at your first post. It unfortunatly doesnt always have the classic signs, and antibiotics might have made it worse.

    Re: Donating Milk?

I kept a night pumping session. I try to keep my oversuppy constant (for me it is 3 oz a day). Otherwise, so I don't mess up balances, it is always what goes in baby +3 = what comes out of me. I...

    Re: Donation?

Yay! Two months later and I am now a donor. :) My part in the process was easy, I guess it was just a bit of sitting around on someone's desk that made it take so long.
