Re: Battling really low supply issues
I'm 24 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby.
My daughters were born in 2003 (twins) but I was not able to breastfeed them because I had low supply issues. I was only able to pump 2oz a day (and I tried to pump at least 10-12 times a day!). I had to ff and gave them the little breast milk I could pump using a bottle. I tried teas, pills, root beer, etc and it only got me fat :( but it never increased my production.
My mom always says it's because I have big breasts (I'm 36C) and according to her the fat from my breasts absorbs the milk.
I feel very frustrated because I was not able to breastfeed the twins and they got sick very often when they were babies and I blame myself because I know how important is to breastfeed them for their health.
Now I want to do things right and since this time it's only one baby I think it would be easier. But is is true big breast moms don't produce enough milk?
