More endearingly, he just said, "I love nursing" in his sleep after nursing down for a nap. It makes it all worthwhile. :)
"Old Macdonald had a farm. Ee-ay-ee-ay-oh. And on that farm he had a..."
Getting ready for bed I took off my clothes to throw in the wash before going upstairs to the bedroom. At the time I was holding my 19mo dd who shreiks "Nursing, nursing, nursing!!! Here comes the milk. Otay!" while looking back and forth between both breasts. She then laughs while trying to twist sideways to nurse from one then the other breast while sitting on my hip as I carry her upstairs.
She often says Otay (ok) after we repeat what she has asked for.
dd: get da
me: oh you want to get down
dd: otay (in an agreeable tone like "okay if you insist I guess I'll agree.")
Everyone please add more stories! I love reading these!
She pops off the nipple, points at it, looks up at me and says 'pwetty!' with a huge smile on her face :)
You are asked to nurse everything. And I mean everything. My toddler asks me to nurse her toys, her books, pictures of other babies, diapers, and even pieces of cheese...:lol
:lol My LO loves cheese but hasn't asked me to nurse the cheese... Or her diapers....
I had forgotten how wonderful it is to be "around" women that get it. I giggled in yoga yesterday when my teacher said "and other side..." because that is what my daughter says all of the time. Even in her sleep she will say "Other side" in a sweet whisper.
As I was putting a shirt on yesterday, DS27mo leaned up from the bed like he wanted a kiss, the lunged at me like a cat with a giddy smile and latched on. He popped off, giggling wildly, and said, "I LOVE your milky nipples and milky boobs!"
*sigh* I love toddler nursing.
I was just thinking of adding to this thread! Haha! DS is 16 months, and I'm still not understanding all of his words, but when I walk in the door from a day at work, he comes up, says "mmmmmm" and points to my chest! Then when we nurse he often switches back and forth, commenting in between "a boota boota". Silly head. :)
The best is when we're skyping my parents, and he jumps onto me and pulls my shirt down. My mother bursts into laughter!
