Has anyone had any experience with this? DS has already had his frenulum snipped all the way. This morning our LC said she thinks he has a more severe case of tongue tie, and he made need a transverse-vertical frenuloplasty. That's a surgery that requires general anesthesia! We have an appointment tomorrow morning with our pedi to see what he thinks. Our LC said they don't usually perform these surgeries until after 1 year, and until then breastfeeding will continue to be painful for me.
I'm looking for stories. Any experiences here?
Re: transverse-vertical frenuloplasty
Have you talked to an ENT? I think they're the ones who would make a diagnosis like that. :hug
