My little guy is 2 weeks old now and we have just started breastfeeding without a nipple shield. I can get him to latch good on my right breast but not my left. I can't seem to get him to latch on with more of the bottom of the breast making it very painful to breastfeed from that breast. Any suggestions?
Re: latching help
You may want to contact one of your local LLL leaders so that she can help you, hands-on. The good thing is that you know what a good latch feels like. Just keep working with baby to get him to latch on properly. Some babies have a breast preference.
Have you tried different positions with him to see if that makes a difference?
