Defrosting frozen milk -- how long will it last?
I need to defrost some of my frozen breastmilk to feed my twin newborns because I needed to pump and dump due to a medication I am on. I attempted to place a large quantity of the frozen milk in the refrigerator overnight because I planned to make a pitcher of milk to use through the day. But, now 17 hours later, my milk is still quite frozen. I understand that if it did defrost, it would last 24 hours in the fridge once thawed. However, if I have to defrost it in a pan of warm water, does the same rule apply (24 hours in the fridge) or does it need to be consumed within an hour? Thanks for any advice!

I go with 24 hours since it was defrosted, no matter the method. :gvibes
